The goal to raise a sum of EUR 3050 in order to bring Sputnik to AmigaOS 4 has finally been reached. With over one hundred users making a donation in the past few months it was inevitable that this community effort would succeed.
Based on the widely known KHTML engine and being a very light web browser compared to Firefox it will enable Amiga users to fully view websites on the internet. Marcin who was responsible for porting this browser to another platform recently released a new update which includes support for cookies and secure surfing via SSL. Once a port for other platforms has been completed it will be possible for Marcin to turn his attention to the Amiga platform.
