In the past few weeks details have emerged that two Amiga shows are planned for 2006, including one for the users in the UK.
AmiRevival is set to take place at a large, technology orientated venue in the centre of Scunthorpe on the 29th of July. The local usergroup, who are organizing the event, hope to draw some high calibre exhibitors and maybe even one or 2 VIP's. The highlights for gamers include a Sensible Soccer competition and a StuntCarRacer tournament, with prizes to be won. Exhibitors are encouraged to sign up for an event that is expected to draw users from across the UK.
The second major show is Pianeta Amiga which is being organised by Jasa Communications, Virtual Works and the Bitplane magazine. It will be held in Empoli (near Florence) on the 23rd and 24th of September. According to the show organisers, Amiga-related exhibitors from Europe will be present, showcasing their latest software and hardware.
