John Carmack, CEO of ID Software has confirmed that they will release the source code to Quake 3, an award winning 3D shooter.
This announcement has created a great deal of excitement in the Amiga forums as gamers have expressed their hopes that Quake 3 could be ported to the Amiga platform. However, with so many developers working on software for AmigaOS 4, there is some concern that this excellent title may not be ported for sometime.
If you're a talented coder then keep a close watch on the ID Software website as the source code to Quake 3 should be released to the public within the next few weeks.
