New and creative software for AmigaOS 4 has been slowly making its way onto the new platform.
There has been a flurry of releases over the past month or so such as AmiFTP, which is a very capable FTP client that has recently been revamped and ported, and a process monitoring called tool Ranger 1.4. There is also Commander 2.0, a multi-purpose Screenblanker module, and Push4Dock, a start menu environment based on AmiDock for AmigaOS4.
It has also been revealed that DiscreetFX is working on a deal to bring professional 3D animation and modelling to AmigaOS 4. According to their Managing Director, “The deal is almost complete and we will announce it when the deal is done”.
