Progress on AmigaOS 4 seems to be gathering pace for Hans-Joerg Frieden has spoken about the latest developments.
One the hardest tasks' for the development team has been dealt with in the last week, namely the porting of DOS to PowerPC. Hans-Joerg Frieden, congratulated Colin and Jörg for a tremendous job at cleaning the code out, stating, “I never dreamed it was possible, with all the BCPL legacy stuff to be thrown out”.
According to Hans-Joerg Frieden, there are a few minor issues to be taken of in JIT, while Petunia, which is to be used in AmigaOS4 for emulating the 68k processor for the legacy applications has been finished and only needs to be integrated into the OS.
