Epic Interactive has formally announced their intentions to convert Earth 2140, a real-time strategy game developed by Topware Interactive to the Amiga and mac platforms. Gamercenter said that, “Earth 2140 offers raw, unbridled carnage for the thinking gamer” while SoftSeek believe, it has “the best 'feel' of all the new command and conquer games”.
The story to the game is that two warring factions battle for the last remaining resources on the planet. High tech weaponry and superior firepower are the new tools of diplomacy. Only one side will triumph, and only one person can determine which side it will be. Sitting at the helm of the most advanced tactical interface, you will decide which side to support, you will decide which troops come home alive, and you will decide if humanity survives to the year 2141.
Earth 2140 will be a sure fire hit with strategy fans offering over 50 missions with more than 70 buildings and units to choose from. You will be able to play in 640x480 or 800x600 in 65.000 colours and also have stereo soundtrack music. Earth 2140 should also feature multiplayer support.
Earth 2140 will require a GFX board and 32MB Ram, with this version expected to be out in November. The game in particular is recommended for Amiga PowerPC Gamers. However, it should be noted that Earth 2140 will also be making an appearance on AmigaOne released with the first batch of games for the new platform.
