Thomas Steiding of Epic Interactive has revealed that they are considering whether or not to port Barkanoid 2 to the Amiga platform. He stated on Amiga Network News, “since we do not have any idea of how large the market still is and if there is request for this type of casual game on the Amiga market, we would be happy to receive feedback”.

Barkanoid 2 is a remake of an arcade classic in which you aim to destroy all of the tiles on the playing field with your bat and ball. In your way stand several monsters who will attempt to make things more difficult and some extras you might pick up will make your job even more challenging. There are over three hundred levels to complete, fifty extras to collect, 9 different bats and balls, and even weather effects like snow, rain and fog.

Barkanoid 2 was released for the Linux and Mac platform this month for the relatively low price of Euro 14.99. If you would like to see this type of casual game on the Amiga platform then please contact Epic Interactive.
