Over the next few weeks' users are in for a treat as demonstrations of the new Amiga platform are set to take place in the UK, France, Canada, and Australia. If you haven't yet had an opportunity to see AmigaOS 4 running on an AmigaOne then this might be opportunity to see what all the fuss has been about.

In the UK, it had seemed as though no events were planned but with the development of AmigaOS 4 reaching it final stages people are now eager to plan Amiga events. At present four events have been organised at which demonstrations will take place. These include: an ANT meeting on the 9th of November in London, a SEAL meeting on the 14th of November in Essex, the MicroMart show on the 30th of November at the NEC Birmingham, and an AmigaOS 4 on Tour event on the 13th of December in Bath.

This weekend in France, the Alchimie which has become the biggest French event for Amiga users will take place. Alan Redhouse of Eyetech, Ben Hermans of Hyperion and Fleecy Moss of Amiga Inc will be present, along with French retailers and magazines. This show in Tain l'Hermitage, near Valence will run from the 8th of November to the 10th of November.

In Canada, two events are planned for November, an Amiga usergroup called AMUC will demonstrate AmigaOS 4 at their regular monthly meeting, while later in the month the Ottawa Amiga Show will take place. The Ottawa Amiga Show is expected to attract users from across North America who will see demonstrations of the new Amiga platform, and the latest offerings from developers like Technomages and ZEE4. Retailers, Cinereal, Livewire Systems and Archtech / National Amiga also plan to sell AmigaOne systems. The AMUC meeting will take place on the 19th of November in Calgary, while the Ottawa Amiga Show is planned for the 22nd of November.

The AmigaOS 4 Tour in Australia has proved to be a huge success taking in the cities of Sydney, Brisbane, and Canberra. The tour comes to an end on the 15th of November with the final event taking place at Monash University in Melbourne.
